The brewing operations staff at Fort Bend Brewing is a merry band of idiots that don’t take things seriously enough to write anything other than sarcastic stories about themselves; in short, they’re a couple of smart-asses that love beer and brewing it.
The Fort Bend Crew… no really, we’re actually being serious this time:
Our Head Brewer, Carl Norberg won’t ever says he’s a hipster, but he claims to have gained a love of craft beer in college before craft beer was cool.
Being the creative/artsy type (he was once a professional musician and went college for an English degree) with a technology background once he started homebrewing he couldn’t stop. After homebrewing for a number years and building his own electronically controlled brew system, Carl spent a short time brewing in a co-op brewpub before joining Fort Bend Brewing in 2013.
New to the Houston area and Fort Bend Brewing, our brewer Paul Moreno is less of a hipster, but has a few more tattoos. After his service in the United States Marine Corps, Paul cut his craft beer teeth on the breweries of Colorado before gaining a position as a brewer in one of only a handful of brewpubs in Wyoming. Paul brings to the table a fresh outlook with a focus on German and Belgian styles, darker and stronger ales–all with an intense sarcasm.
